About the Levy
WHAT?
Anderson Township’s parks are a cornerstone of life here. From concerts in the park and youth sports leagues, to senior fitness classes and peaceful walking trails, to playgrounds, skateboard parks and dog parks, they enrich our lives every day.
WHO?
Citizens for Parks & Recreation is a grassroots campaign to raise awareness, build voter support, pass the levy and responsible for:
-
Community outreach & voter education
-
Yard signs, mailers & digital advertising
WHY?
Unlike school or township levies, park levies expire. The current 1.9-mill levy — approved by voters in 2016 — will end in November 2026.
HOW?
Vote YES in November and today please consider investing in this outreach effort! Every amount makes a difference! Whether you choose to give $50, $500, or $5,000, your financial support helps preserve the parks that help make Anderson feel like home.
WHEN?
To ensure continued funding, a reduced 1.8-mill replacement levy will appear on the November 2025 ballot resulting in the current millage rate going down. Passage of this replacement levy will ensure the Anderson Park District will be able to continue operations without missing a beat.
